Elephant riding, logging, and towing vehicles using elephants, and exempting Peraheras from all possible animal welfare laws will be legalised in Sri Lanka.

Our ‘Fundamental Rights’ Petition, filed jointly with The Center of Environmental Justice, against the “Tame Elephants Regulations” will be heard in the Supreme Court on 4th, 11th and 25th of November 2022.
